However, when Hannah returns, she is engaged to a man (Kevin McKidd) she just met, and she asks Tom to be her "maid" of honor at her wedding. Tom valiantly accepts the job but only as a last ditch attempt to win Hannah's heart and to stop her from marrying someone else.
